Principal Engineer

Cory Davis, PE

Cory Davis, PE, is the Principal Engineer at CSD Engineering and a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in California. He has more than 12 years of experience, with a focus on residential and commercial structural engineering projects, including single-family homes, ADUs, additions, retaining walls, and foundation systems.

His broader background in geotechnical engineering, utility infrastructure, renewable energy, and dam maintenance provides a unique perspective on site conditions, constructability, and long-term performance. Having served as an Authority Having Jurisdiction and coordinated permit applications with local, state, and federal agencies, Cory understands both the design and regulatory sides of a project. He applies this practical insight to projects throughout California, helping clients navigate technical requirements and the permitting process efficiently.

Cory earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2013.

Project Manager

Julien El Naddaf, PE

Julien El Naddaf, PE, is a Project Manager and structural engineer licensed in Florida. His experience spans residential and commercial structural engineering, geotechnical systems, and major underground infrastructure projects.

Julien has worked on residential projects throughout Florida, coordinating structural, architectural, civil, and MEP disciplines while reviewing designs for code compliance and local permitting requirements. His broader experience includes underground structures, excavation support, deep foundations, ground-improvement systems, site inspections, and quality control. He previously contributed to the Frederick Douglass Tunnel Program with WSP USA, supporting the design and quality review of major underground structures.

Julien holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut. Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, he brings a collaborative, detail-oriented approach to delivering practical, efficient, and code-compliant solutions.

Engineering Designer

Francisco Valbuena

Francisco Valbuena is an Engineering Designer with 13 years of experience and more than 200 completed projects across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. His building experience includes single- and multifamily residences, ADUs, additions and remodels, townhomes, commercial and industrial buildings, mezzanines, canopies, retaining walls, and shallow and deep foundation systems. He routinely delivers complete structural engineering packages for projects ranging from high-seismic California to high-wind South Florida.

Francisco also brings extensive experience in heavy infrastructure and advanced structural analysis. At WSP, he contributed to the design, rehabilitation, and load rating of rail and highway bridges throughout Canada and Chile, as well as industrial and mining structures in demanding seismic environments. His expertise in nonlinear analysis, soil-structure interaction, steel connections, deep foundations, and seismic detailing gives him a comprehensive perspective on complex building projects.

Engineering Designer

Nurul Islam Zihad

Nurul Islam Zihad is an Engineering Designer with nearly five years of experience and more than 150 completed projects across the United States. His work spans diverse code environments, from high-seismic California to high-wind Miami, Florida.

Nurul’s experience includes residential structures, additions, renovations, ADUs, JADUs, townhomes, and podium construction using wood and masonry systems. His commercial work includes daycare facilities, steel and tilt-up warehouses, retaining walls, concrete and helical-pier foundations, and pre-engineered metal building foundations. He also has experience designing nonstructural components, including rack systems, ceiling grids, raised-access floors, and rooftop-unit anchorage.
